Yes, you can self manage your domain name with Rocketspark, this is handy if you have a 3rd party IT company looking after your domain names and emails, for more information on this continue reading:
What does self-managing mean?
Self-managing your domain simply means you or your current domain provider will look after your domain renewal and settings. You can have a website with Rocketspark and look after your own domain by simply pointing to the website and optionally the email traffic to Rocketspark. Alternatively, you can transfer your domain to Rocketspark and we will renew and manage the settings for you. Or register a new domain for your Rocketspark website.
Can I self-manage my own domain?
Yes, you can – this is usually a preferred approach for the following reasons.
- You’d like to keep your current email provider rather than switch over to Rocketspark.
- You’re technically proficient and you’d like to keep managing this yourself.
- You’d like to pay for and keep your domain with your current third-party provider.

How do I do this myself?
Each domain provider does this a little differently. You will need one of the above guides (DNS Settings) as these are the settings that you will need to change on your domain. You can either change these settings yourself (if you feel confident technically) or you can give these settings to your domain provider to set these up for you. Just contact the support team at your domain provider for assistance.
Most domain providers will also have their own help guides on how to make changes.
