Started an on-page client review and need to stop it? No worries, it’s easy to do. There isn’t a Cancel button just yet (it’s on our list!), so for now there’s a quick little workaround. Here’s how.
-
Open your client link yourself. Grab the review link from the feedback panel and open it in your browser, just as if you were the client.
-
Click “Send to designer” in the bottom floating toolbar
-
If there were no on-page comments, add "overall feedback" to further submit the feedback
-
Finish the review. Head back into the editor, open the feedback panel, and click "Done - next steps". Make sure any unanswered comments that may be in the sidedraw have either been resolved or has a reply so that this button can be clicked first.
-
“Finish feedback.” That closes the review for good.
Don’t want to do this yourself?
No problem at all. Our support team is happy to cancel a review for you, just get in touch at support@rocketspark.com and we’ll sort it out.
What happens when you cancel
A couple of important things to know before you cancel.
Any comments from the active review will be removed
When you finish the review, any comments made during that active review are removed from your sidebar.
Good news: every time a client submits feedback, we email you a CSV file with all their comments. So even after you cancel, you’ll still have that file as a record of anything they sent.
The client’s link will stop working
Once you finish the review, your client’s link stops working straight away. If they try to open it, it won’t load.
So a quick heads-up is key: let your client know the old link will no longer work, so they’re not left confused if they click it. A two-line message is all it takes.
Need to start again?
If you cancelled but still want your client’s feedback, no problem. Just set up a fresh review the same way you did the first time, and you’ll get a brand new link to send them. Pop that new link over to your client and you’re back in business.
