When you send a client an invite to their website, they'll receive an email walking them through how to set up their account and access their site. Here's what your client will see from the moment they receive that email through to logging in to their Dashboard for the first time.
How your client receives and accepts the invite
Once you send the invite, the process is quick and straightforward for your client.
Step 1 — Client receives an invite email
Your client will get an email inviting them to set up their account. The email will prompt them to get started by clicking a link or button.
Step 2 — Client sets up a password
After clicking the link, your client will be taken to a page where they can create a password for their account. This is how they'll log in to their site going forward.
Step 3 — Client accesses their Dashboard
Once their password is set, your client will have access to their site's Dashboard (also called the admin area or control panel). From here they can manage their site content, view pages, and more.
Tips and things to watch out for
- Ask your client to check their spam or junk folder if the invite email doesn't arrive within a few minutes.
- The invite link may expire after a set period — if your client can't access it, you may need to resend the invite.
- Your client's login will be tied to the email address you used when sending the invite, so double-check it before sending.Frequently asked questions
What email address does the invite go to? The invite is sent to the email address you entered when sending the client invite. Make sure it's correct before sending, as your client will use that address to log in.
What if my client didn't receive the invite email? Ask them to check their spam or junk folder first. If it's not there, you can resend the invite from your Dashboard.
Can my client change their password after setting it up? Yes, your client can update their password from their account settings once they're logged in.
Does my client need to pay for anything to access their site? No. Client access is included on all plans — there's no extra cost for your client to log in and manage their site.
Can more than one client access the same site? [VERIFY: Confirm whether multiple client logins per site are supported and, if so, how to set that up.]
