If you’ve noticed a circle pie graph labelled SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) on your website dashboard but aren’t sure what it represents, here’s a quick guide to help you out. This visual graph shows how well each page on your website is optimised for metadata if you’re using Flint AI.
This guide contains:
How to get a green circle - if you use Flint AI
What does manual metadata mean (blue section in the graph)?
What is metadata?
Metadata is information about the website that helps search engines (like Google) and users understand what the site is about. It’s a summary description of the page's content, but it’s not visible on the webpage itself. When people search for something, they see your metadata (the title and description of a page) on Google. Good metadata helps your website stand out in search results, making it more likely that people will visit your site.
Reminder: Metadata is just one piece of the SEO puzzle. Other important factors include creating valuable content, mobile-friendly design, clear structure, credible backlinks, and strong calls to action. Search Engine Optimisation Guide for Rocketspark SEO
What Do the Colours in the Pie Graph Represent?
If you hover over the colours in the pie graph, you can see what pages correlate to the colours. You can then click "Manage Pages" to use Flint AI to make adjustments if needed.
- Grey (Not yet started): this means that you have pages on the website that do not use Flint AI. If you have a design partner that set up the metadata, please check in first before using Flint.
- Red (Poor): This means that you have activated Flint AI for those specific pages but have not continued to use Flint. You can continue the Flint process to turn those pages from red to green.
- Yellow (Average): This means that you have given Flint AI a go for those specific pages but there are still steps to complete to get this page fully optimised.
- Green (Strong): This means that you have used Flint AI in the best way possible to get a high score for the metadata for those specific pages.
- Blue (Done Manually): Metadata has been added manually outside of Flint AI. Flint AI cannot score these pages, but that’s okay—manual optimisation works too!

What does manual metadata mean (blue section in the graph)?
The blue section of the SEO pie graph represents manual metadata—information you or your design partner have directly added to your website via the "Get Found SEO" section, instead of using Flint AI.
- If you or a partner have already optimised metadata manually, the graph will display it as blue.
- This indicates that Flint AI wasn’t used, but your metadata could already be well-optimised.
-
Don’t worry! The blue section does not mean your SEO is incomplete. It simply means the optimisation process was done manually, and Flint AI doesn’t track or score it in the graph.
Manual Metadata is added directly to the "Get Found SEO" section of the website like below:
