We know closing your account can feel like a big step, and it’s totally normal to wonder what happens with payments you’ve already made.
Under our terms and conditions, we’re not able to offer refunds for any prepaid subscription periods. This means that if you’ve already paid for a month or a year in advance, that payment is non-refundable, even if you decide to close your account partway through that period.
Why we don’t refund prepaid periods
Prepaid subscriptions help us keep things running smoothly behind the scenes — things like hosting, security, infrastructure and ongoing support. These costs are committed to in advance so your website stays fast, secure and online.
Because of this, once a billing period has been paid for, we’re not able to partially unwind or refund that period, as set out in our terms and conditions.
How to make the most of your remaining time
If you’re planning to close your account, you might like to:
Export or save content (such as text and images) that you may want to use elsewhere in future.
Update messaging on your website to let visitors know about upcoming changes to your business.
Check your billing date so you can time your closure before the next renewal if you don’t want another period to start.
Something not quite right?
If you believe there’s been a billing error or something doesn’t look right on your invoice, please get in touch with our support team. We’re always happy to take a look and help clarify what’s happened.
