As the movement towards online classes continues, you may be wondering how you can give access to online classes and videos to the public while still having them password-protected so that members will need to log in or pay to view.
We have a few options available that our customers have used, which I will outline below:
-
Punchpass: Punchpass is a tool that can be used to sell in-person or online. This makes it easy to manage users and take payment if this is required.
To use this, you will need to set up an account with Punchpass where access and classes will be managed - you can then create a link on your site so that users will be directed to Punchpass to access the content or pay for their courses.
This enables you to have a mixture of in-person or online classes, which makes this a versatile tool.
-
Vimeo password-protected videos/album: An easy option to allow for password-protected content is to use Vimeo to do so - this way, you will be able to embed videos onto your site but have these password-protected, so that users will need to enter the password to be able to view the video.
You will need to be on a Vimeo Plus subscription or higher to be able to enable a password-protected video/album.
- Rocketspark Private log-in: You will be able to set up a second site that requires users to log in to be able to access the site. Here you will be able to add your content to the site for users to access. To set this up, please take a look at our help guide for setting up a private site.
I hope this helps to give you a few ideas on how you can create password-protected courses/videos that you can access online. These options will allow you to be able to charge for the online content if you need to.
If you have any questions on how to set this up, please reach out to support@rocketspark.com.
