You may have been one of our early customers when we used to design sites in-house or you might have had some custom code added to your site to achieve the functionality that you were wanting. If you have any of this work done on your site you will need a Custom Dev Maintenance Plan or a Pro-Package Maintenance Plan to keep your site up to date.
What is the Custom Dev Maintenance Plan and why do I need it?
Here at Rocketspark, we are always innovating and therefore updating our system to give you the most current tech and latest features available. Our Custom Dev Maintenance Plan allows us to continue making sure the custom code on your website is running on the latest version of Rocketspark and you don’t get left behind.
The Custom Dev Maintenance Plan is an ongoing cost on top of the one-off custom development fee for the majority of our custom development offerings. This is a different type of ongoing maintenance charge from the Pro-Package Maintenance Plan that is outlined below.
Please note this charge does not cover any changes you would like to make in the future to this custom work or cover any new custom development requests. You will be quoted upon request for changes or new work.
How much does it cost?
If you request a custom work for your site (via contacting us at support@rocketspark.com) and is something we can develop for your site you will receive a quote based on the one-off custom development charge and if applicable receive the quote for the Custom Dev Maintenance Plan. Please note the Custom Dev Maintenance Plan will be charged out based on your current billing cycle.

What is the Pro-Package Maintenance and why do I need it?
The Purpose of the Pro-Package Maintenance Plan is to help protect websites that are either previously built-in-house by Rocketspark or the site has a lot of custom code throughout. These sites are at a higher risk of being impacted when Rocketspark updates the system or release a new feature.
Here at Rocketspark, we are always innovating and therefore updating our system to give you the most current tech and latest features available. We want to give these new advancements to all of our customers. However, if your site is highly customised, we aren’t always able to automatically upgrade you or guarantee the new feature will work seamlessly with your customisations.
Choosing to pay for the monthly or yearly Pro-Package Maintenance Plan subscription means that every time Rocketspark does a major update, our development team will check your website to make sure it remains safe and up to date. We’ll also fix any breaks that may occur due to any incompatibility with the custom codes on your website at no additional one-off charge.
We introduced our Pro-Package Maintenance Plan as a safeguard to websites that are heavily coded for custom effects, to ensure that your website is always running the latest version of Rocketspark, with access to the latest features.
If you have a highly customised site and are not on the Pro-Package Maintenance Plan.
We recommend joining the Pro-Package Maintenence Plan for a hassle-free experience.
However, if you decided to not pay for the ongoing fee and if in the event that your custom-coded website is affected by a major update, this could incur a one-off charge to you for our development team to fix the issue. In specific, once you have identified the issue and made contact with our Customer Success team, we will quote you for the work required to fix the problem. We would only begin the work once the quote has been accepted.
