If you use Google Analytics eCommerce tracking, you might have noticed that your sales revenue as reported by Rocketspark doesn't always match up with the revenue reported in Google Analytics.
The tracking code runs on the Checkout Success page. This means it's reliant on your users navigating back to the site (which usually happens automatically), and that they don’t have any analytics blocking extensions running on their web browser.
In short, Google Analytics won't count any successful order that wasn’t completed via the Checkout -> Payment Gateway -> Finish page. This could include:
- Subscription orders
- Manually marking orders as paid in Dashboard.
- Users who failed to navigate back to your website.
Additionally, any orders completed by a user who blocks Google Analytics won't be counted as well.
