Your site language tells screen readers what language your website is written in, so they can pronounce your content correctly for visitors using assistive technology. It only takes a few seconds to set.
Rocketspark sets your site language automatically based on the server your site was created on. So if your site was created in New Zealand, it'll default to English (New Zealand). Sites created in Australia, the United Kingdom, or the United States will default to the matching English variant for that region.
For most websites on Rocketspark, the default is spot-on, and no change is needed.
How to change your site language
If you'd like a different language or English variant, you can swap it any time.
- Log in to your Rocketspark account
- Head to My account in the dashboard sidebar
- Look for the site language just below the timezone field
- Click the Site language dropdown to open it
- Start typing your language in the search box, or scroll the list to find it
- Select your preferred language, and it will autosave with nothing further needed to do.
We're adding more languages over time. If the one you need isn't in the list yet, we'd love to hear from you. Email us at support@rocketspark.com with the language you'd like added, and we'll look into it!
