Frequently Asked Questions
If we already have a current Rocketspark website, can we add an online store to that website or do we need to make a new website?
Yes, on Rocketsparks Website Builder plan you're able to switch on your Store and add up to 10 products to that store. See how to add a shop to your website here. If you need to add more products, you can easily upgrade your Rocketspark Subscription from My Account in your dashboard.
Can we use Rocketspark in conjunction with a website that is already set up?
We have seen that done where someone will have their front-end website and use just their eCommerce part of Rocketspark, tricky to manage but if you've invested a lot in getting a site set up and you just want to add eCommerce, yes you can set this up. Get in touch with us and we can help you set up a sub-domain.
When moving from another website-building platform, how do I bulk load my customer's account details?
Currently, there isn’t a way to do this but we do encourage you to submit your requests to support@rocketspark.com and as soon as a requested feature becomes available, you will receive a notification.
Do I need to pay extra to get the Scheduled Ordering feature?
Scheduled Ordering is included in Rocketspark’s eCommerce Grow and Ecommerce Pro plans. View all pricing.
What is the commission/cost per purchase rate from Rocketspark?
There are NO transaction fees from Rocketspark. You only pay your monthly or annual subscription cost as per the plan you choose, plus commissions from your payment gateway provider.
How will we receive orders?
The standard process at the moment is that it comes through email. But there are a number of different tools you can use to convert it into a text message and other various solutions. We're currently looking into the best solution for this. Please let us know your ideas and what would work best for your workflow. Drop us a note through the Register your interest for Scheduled Ordering page.
Can customers have an account to see the progress of their orders?
Yes, we have a feature called Customer Accounts and it's included in Rocketspark's Ecommerce Pro plan. It saves your customer's details for the next time they come to buy from you. If you're using Stripe as a payment gateway, it saves payment details as well.
How does an order come through at the back end, for example, any great tricks for consolidating orders so I know how many fillet steaks I'm cutting for the day rather than the individual customer?
You can export list of orders to a CSV file and use a tool in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets called Pivot Table to consolidate those orders. We’ve had a lot of requests for this type of feature so we're looking at creating a template we can give to you and if that's really helpful then we’ll look at developing that as an actual feature. We’re really keen for your feedback so we can continue to understand what you need in an ever-changing environment. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with us.
How can we set up a deposit payment?
Yes, you can set up a deposit payment for your products. If you want to take a 50% deposit on a product, for example, you would set this up as a product or essentially a variant within the product so when someone's buying, they are paying the first 50%, so the variant is the first 50% of the product.
I'd like my customers to be able to see how their order progresses.
Rocketspark is integrated with Mailchimp eCommerce. You can use Mailchimp's functionality to send progress reports. When someone purchases a particular product, their details will be saved in Mailchimp and when the order has reached a certain phase, you can add a tag in Mailchimp to send them an automated update. Learn how to connect your Rocketspark website with Mailchimp.
In a CSV import can you have HTML tags such as bold and bullet points in the description?
Yes, you can do bulk uploads of your products that include tags and formatting. Learn more.
