What is an SVG file?
Scalable Vector Graphics, abbreviated as SVG, offers the best image quality. Unlike formats like PNG or JPG, SVG files maintain their crispness and detail regardless of zoom level. SVG files are commonly used for icons, animations, and logos. We would not recommend using graphical images and illustrations for an SVG, as these images tend to not work best for this file type.
How to upload an SVG file to your website?
You can upload an SVG file only through the picture block feature.
- Go to your Rocketspark Dashboard and add a new picture block
- Upload the SVG file saved to your device, and resize it easily through the picture block editor.

Design Software
If you have design software like Adobe Illustrator, you can simply design an image and export it as an SVG file.
Convert an existing JPG file to an SVG file.
If you do not have design software and have an existing image saved as a JPG, you can still export this to an SVG but it involves a process called vectorization. This process usually involves tracing the contours and shapes of the JPG image to create a vector.
*Keep in mind that the quality of the conversion depends on the complexity of the image. We would not recommend converting graphical images, gradients, etc. An SVG file conversion should only be used for logos and icon-style illustrations.
