When editing on the Rocketspark platform, have you ever noticed that the text styling and general layout look slightly different on your live website compared to the editor/preview mode of the website? If so, this is due to the Rocketspark platform not being fully responsive to different screen resolutions.
This means that the Rocketspark platform is not a clear representation of what the website will look like on different screen sizes and devices. This is due to the huge variety of devices that people use to view websites on.
Rocketspark templates are designed to be responsive to various screen sizes, from desktops to mobile devices. This means that the website will adjust its layout and content based on the screen size of the device being used to view it.
Best Practices
To ensure that your Rocketspark website is responsive and optimised for various screen sizes, it is recommended to:
- Preview and test your live website on different devices and screen resolutions. For example, if you are using a monitor to edit your website, reduce your screen size by 1/4.
- Review the editor site and the live site when making changes to ensure the layout is displaying correctly. If you have not yet upgraded the website, you can turn the website online and use the temporary domain displayed through your dashboard.
