When a visitor is on a page, the matching item in your menu (navigation bar) is highlighted, so they always know where they are. This is called the current page colour, and some people call it the active page or selected menu item. You can change it to match your brand in a few clicks.
Change the highlight colour for the active menu item
Step 1: Open Change design
In the editor, click Change design.
Step 2: Go to Header and menu
Select Header and menu.
Step 3: Pick a new Current page colour
Find Current page and choose a new colour. The change shows in your menu right away.
Tips
- Pick a colour that stands out from your other menu items, but is still easy to read against your header background.
- This setting changes your whole site, not just one page.
Frequently asked questions
Can I set a different highlight colour for each page?
No. The Current page colour applies to every page in your menu.
Does this change the colour of my other menu items?
No. It only changes the item for the page the visitor is on. Your other menu items keep their normal colour.
