Can I update the background colour for the Shop/Blog header?

You can change the background colour for your Shop or Blog header, but only if your Header Layout has “Overlay next stack (transparent)” selected.

If your Header Layout has a background colour set instead, the Shop/Blog header will automatically use that same colour and can’t be changed separately.

 

Steps to update your Shop/Blog header background colour
 

1. Log in to your Rocketspark Dashboard here
2. Click Change Design from the top left 
   
   
    
3. Select Header & menu
   
   
    
4. Click the three dots (…) to the right of Header layout
   
   
5. Scroll down to find Shop/Blog header background — here you can choose a new background colour
   
   

6. Don’t forget to click Save changes before exiting the menu!
   
   

   
   
    

FAQs

Can I change the Shop or Blog header colour if my header isn’t transparent?
No — if your header layout uses a background colour instead of the “Overlay next stack (transparent)” option, the Shop/Blog header will automatically use that same colour. You’ll need to switch to the transparent layout to choose a different background colour.

Why don’t I see the ‘Shop/Blog header background’ option in my design settings?
This option only appears if your header layout is set to Overlay next stack (transparent). Try checking your header layout settings first. Once that’s selected, you’ll be able to update the Shop/Blog header background colour.

Can I add a background image to my Shop or Blog header?
No — it’s not currently possible to add a background image to the Shop or Blog header. You can only set a solid background colour.
