Rocketspark and Office 365 are two different email platforms, we use Rackspace while Office uses their own system. For this reason, Rocketspark's email accounts cannot be used on Office 365. There are two options available if you would like to view your emails through the Office 365 system.
Please note that this is our old email hosting, we now use Google Workspace.
Option 1: Basic - Set up email forwarding
You can set up email forwarding from your Rocketspark account to an Office 365 email account. This way any emails that you receive in your Rocketspark email account will then appear in your Office 365 inbox as well. We have a guide on how best to set up email forwarding on your Rocketspark email account.
The downside to this is that if you choose to reply to any of the emails that have been forwarded, the replying address will be your Office 365 account and not your Rocketspark email address.
Option 2: Advanced - Create new Office 365 accounts
To set up Office 365 email accounts for your domain name. As this is a separate email platform you would need to cancel your Rocketspark email accounts and set up new Google ones. To set up Office 365 email accounts you can follow the process on their website.
Once you have set up your new Office 365 email accounts you will need to change your domain's MX records to point towards Office instead of Rocketspark. If you are self-managing your domain we have a number of guides for popular domain providers, otherwise, if your domain is hosted by Rocketspark you can change these records on your website dashboard.
If you are currently using the Basic domain name settings in your Domain Names area you will need to click Use advanced DNS settings. This way you will be able to edit your DNS records.
You will need to delete your current MX records and create new ones that point towards the Office 365 servers.
Once you have made the changes to your DNS settings allow up to a day for the changes to take effect, then you will have successfully set up an Office 365 email account for your domain.
