If you'd rather have a professional handle your website design, Rocketspark can help match you with a trusted New Zealand designer. This guide explains how to get in touch and what to expect from the process.
Two ways to connect with a designer
You can reach out through the web design enquiry form on the Rocketspark website, or by contacting our support team directly.
Option 1 — Fill out the web design enquiry form
The fastest way to get started is to fill out the enquiry form at rocketspark.com/nz/web-design.
Tell us a bit about your business, your industry, and what you're looking for. The more detail you provide, the better match we can make. Once you submit the form, the Rocketspark team will hand-pick a designer suited to your budget and industry, and they'll follow up with a no-obligation quote.
Option 2 — Get in touch with our support team
If you'd prefer to talk it through first, flick us a message at support@rocketspark.com. Let us know you're looking for a designer and include a brief description of your business and what you need. We'll take it from there.
What happens after you get in touch
Once we receive your enquiry, here's what to expect:
- We'll follow up with a few questions. Before matching you with anyone, the Rocketspark team will get in touch to learn more about your business, what you're after, and your budget. This helps us make the right match.
- We match you with a designer. Once we have what we need, we'll find a designer who suits your industry, location, and budget.
- The designer gets in touch. They'll reach out with a no-obligation quote covering the project scope, timeline, and cost.
- The work begins when you're ready. If you're happy with the quote, your designer will get started. They'll handle everything, from the design itself through to going live.
- Your site goes live. Once everything is ready, your designer will push the site live. From there, updating it yourself is straightforward through the Rocketspark website builder, and your designer will walk you through the basics.
- Ongoing support is between you and your designer. Some designers are happy to help with updates after the build, others hand fully over to you once the site is live. It's worth having that conversation with your designer early so you know what to expect.
Tips and things to watch out for
- The more context you give in the enquiry form, the better the match. Include your industry, any websites you like the look of, and your rough budget if you're comfortable sharing it.
- You're not committing to anything by filling out the form or emailing. The quote from your designer is no-obligation.
- If you already have a Rocketspark account, mention your site URL when you get in touch so the team has context.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to work with a designer? There are two parts to the cost. Your designer will give you a one-off quote for the design work. Separately, there's the Rocketspark subscription fee, which covers hosting and ongoing support. You can view subscription pricing here.
Can I still edit my website myself after the designer builds it? Yes. Once your site is live, you can log in and make changes yourself through the Rocketspark website builder. Your designer will walk you through the basics so you feel confident doing this.
What if I want to make changes during the design process? That's what the process is there for. Your designer will involve you throughout and make sure you're happy before the site goes live.
Can Rocketspark also sort out my domain name and email? Yes. Rocketspark can help set up a domain name and email address to match your brand. Mention this when you get in touch and we'll include it in the conversation.
What if I'm not happy with the designer I'm matched with? Let us know. We want to make sure you're comfortable with who you're working with, and we can help find a better fit if needed.
How long does the design process take? Timelines vary depending on the scope of the project. Your designer will outline expected timeframes in their quote.
