Call tracking in Rocketspark lets you see how many people are ringing your business straight from your website. It’s a simple way to measure how your site is driving real-world action and to make sure you’re not missing opportunities.
Step 1: Register your business number
Before call tracking can begin, you’ll need to register a business phone number. Follow this guide to set up your business number
Once your number is set up and has a forwarding number, you’re ready to go.
The Phone calls stat will only appear once the business number is verified and has a forwarding number connected. Check this guide if your number hasn’t been verified yet
What happens when someone calls
Every time you receive a call via your Rocketspark business number, you’ll hear:
“You are getting a call from your Rocketspark website.”
This reassures you that the call came from your site, making tracking more accurate and giving you confidence in your marketing.
Where phone calls show in your dashboard
Once your number is active, you’ll see a new widget in your dashboard called Phone calls.
This stat shows every call made to your business number, even if someone manually types it in rather than clicking on your site.
You can adjust the timeframe (7 days, 30 days, 6 months, etc.) to compare activity.
This is handy for spotting trends—like which weeks or months are busiest.
Comparing calls with other stats (pro plan feature)
If you’re on the Pro plan, you’ll also be able to:
Add Phone calls to your analytics graph.
Compare calls against sessions, page visits, sales, or other website metrics.
This helps you see how traffic on your site is translating into real conversations.
If you are not on a Pro plan, here is how to upgrade for more advanced features.
Mobile calls vs phone calls
There are two separate stats in your dashboard:
Phone calls → Tracks calls made to your Rocketspark-registered business number.
Mobile calls (Pro plan) → Tracks clicks on the phone icon from a mobile device.
Key differences:
You can use the mobile calls stat even before registering a Rocketspark business number. See our tap-to-call setup guide
Once you connect your Rocketspark number to the phone icon, all mobile calls will also link to that number.
Don’t be surprised if your mobile calls stat is higher than your phone calls at first—it’s common for people to tap the icon more often than dial manually.
Monthly website performance reports
Each month, you’ll also get a website performance report delivered to your inbox. This includes:
How many calls came through your Rocketspark number.
Other key metrics from your site.
If you have unsubscribed from these reports, you can re-subscribe via the "My Account" settings in your dashboard.
