Title tags play a very important role in helping search engines know and understand what your page is about. There are 2 options for changing the content of the title tags on your Rocketspark website.
Change your title tags using Flint. Rocketspark's new SEO helper tool, Flint, aims to streamline the SEO process. Flint will help you choose your keywords, set up your description and title tags, and help you ensure that your keywords are showing up in your content. You can activate Flint and change your existing title tags, or set up new ones by following this help guide: Flint (Rocketspark's SEO tool).
If your title tags were previously set up on your website (either by you or your designer/marketer), you can use Flint to update these, or choose to change your title tags manually in the Get Found (SEO) tab in your Dashboard by following the steps below:
- Login to your Rocketspark account and go to the Dashboard.
- On the side navigation panel on the Dashboard, click Get Found (SEO).
- If you want to include your company name on the title for all your pages, fill in the text box for Company name and assign where you want it to be displayed and click the Save company name button.
-
Add to the left of the title tag: displays your company name on the left of the title tag
For example: Rocketspark | Home -
Add to the right of the title tag: displays your company name on the right of the title tag
For example: Home | Rocketspark -
Don’t add to title tag: does not display your company name
For example: Home
-
- If you want to edit the content of the title on specific pages, you can do this by using the form above the Company name. You can add and edit Title tag, Description tag and Keywords for every page. If you don't set a title tag, the name of the page in Manage Pages will be used instead.
If you have switched over to using Flint you can make these changes using the Flint editor.
