One of the most powerful ways of drawing people to your website is by sharing your blog posts on social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. But it’s possible for your “shares” to show the wrong address. Let’s say you’re tweeting the link to your latest blog post. Your followers should see a website address that looks something this:
www.yourbusiness.co.nz/blog
But instead, it may look like this:
yourbusiness.rocketspark.co.nz/blog
If that’s the case, there’s a couple of possible reasons—and dead-easy fixes:
-
The Problem: You may have been logged into your Rocketspark dashboard when you shared the link.
The Solution: Simply log out of your dashboard by clicking the “X” in the top-right corner of the dashboard. Then try sharing the link again.
-
The Problem: When you shared the link you may have been viewing it at the Rocketspark URL for your blog post. eg http://yoursite.rocketspark.co.nz/
The Solution: Go to the actual domain name version of your blog post (eg yourdomain.co.nz/blog/…) and copy the website address (URL) you find in the address field. Then try sharing the link again.
Following these steps should ensure that the correct address shows up whenever you share or tweet a link to your site.
