There are few different ways you can take donations on your Rocketspark website via third-party platforms or using the Rocketspark Store.
Using the Rocketspark Store
You could add the donation amounts as product/s to your Rocketspark Store. Check out this help guide on how to add products to your store.
If you are using this option be sure to check with your payment gateway’s terms and conditions about taking online payments for charitable donations. For example, PayPal do allow charitable donations to be taken but be sure to register your PayPal account as a charity account and follow their guidelines for charities. PayPal will ask you for your charity registration number. We have had clients where PayPal has locked access to their funds until they proved they were a registered charity which did take some time for the funds to be released.
Using a Third-Party Platform
You can add a button to your website that links to a charity payment page such as "Donorbox", "Give a Little", or "Virgin Money Giving". Search for charity payment providers in your country and check out their fees and terms plus check out online reviews of their services to see which is best.
It is also recommended to put a donation button in the menu header: How do I add a button to my menu?
If the third-party integration allows you to copy HTML code, you can embed a donation widget to your website. For example, here is How to Embed Donorbox in Rocketspark.
Another way is to embed a PayPal donate button. See notes in option 1 about PayPal for charities. Set up a 'donation button' via your Paypal account which can be embedded into your website using our HTML block feature.
We can also offer not-for-profit rates on our website builder to some charities and not-for-profit organisations. Contact us to tell us about how you are doing good in the world and we’ll consider your application for special pricing.
