You can access spam and junk emails in the Junk Email folder which syncs with Outlook in the Outlook Web App (OWA). You might need to expand some folders to reveal this but usually, it is under your Display name.
Blocking emails from specific senders
If you are receiving a number of unwanted emails from particular senders, you can block their email addresses and domains. You can specify any email address or domain in your blocked sender's list to make sure they get sent directly to your Junk Email folder and not delivered to your inbox. To do this, just follow these steps:
- Login to Webmail
- At the top right-hand side of the page, click the cog icon to open the Settings menu.
- Select Options
- On the left side bar, select Mail > Accounts > Block or allow
- Under Block or allow, select Automatically filter junk mail.
- Then under Blocked Senders, type the email address or domain that you want to add to your block list then click the Add (plus) button.
- Make sure to click Save after you've done the changes.
To send emails that did not come from the safe sender's list straight to your Junk Emails folder, just click the Don’t trust email check box below the ‘Blocked Senders text area.
Unblocking emails from specific senders
You can unblock users that you have added in your block senders list by following these steps:
- Login to Webmail.
- At the top right-hand corner of the page, click the cog icon to open the Settings menu, then click Options.
- In the Options menu, select Mail > Accounts > Block or allow
- Go to the ‘Blocked Senders’ section
- Select the email address or domain that you want to unblock or remove from the blocked Senders list. Then select the trash icon to remove it.
- Click Save above the Block or Allow heading
Keep messages from specific senders going into your Junk folder
When you do not want emails coming from specific addresses or domains to be sent to your Junk folder, you can follow these instructions
- Login to Webmail
- At the top right-hand corner of the page, click the cog icon to open the Settings menu, then click Options.
- In the Options menu, select Mail > Accounts > Block or allow
- In the Block or allow section, select Automatically filter junk email.
- In the Safe sender's section, type the email address or domain that you want to add to your safe sender's list and then click the Add (plus) button.
*Once you have added the email address or domain to the list, any emails which come from the sender in your safe sender list will no longer end up in your Junk folder. - Make sure to click Save above the Block or allow heading after you've done the changes.
