Big headings are a great way of emphasizing your business's key points of difference.
Big headings are also an important aspect of your website's search engine optimization plan. The Big Heading is an important tasty morsel for search engines such as Google and search engines as they look for one Big Heading per page. Your most important keywords should be included in this heading.
If you add more than one Big Heading per page this can affect how Google ranks the content of your page as it will struggle to distinguish the most important content on the page.
To add a Big Heading:
- Go to Editor
- Go to the page where you want to add the heading
- Hover your mouse over an existing block and click the Add Block button
- Click Big Heading
- Enter the text you want to display and click Save
- You can drag the heading to the position where you need it.
For the pros:
The Big Headings use a <h1> tag on the page.
By comparison, the standard text block gives you the ability to pick from a small or large heading. In the standard text block, the larger heading uses a <h2> tag and the smaller heading uses a <h3> tag. This will give you 3 levels of content hierarchy on your page.
It's best to use just one <h1> tag per page and to make sure it has the keywords you want to be found within it.
