You may be wondering where you can find your Google Analytics Tracking ID or UA Number so that you can start to track the traffic coming through your website, this help guide will walk you through where you can find this.
- If you are not already logged in to your Google Analytics account, go to www.google.com/analytics then click on the Sign in link. Then login to your Analytics account using the email address and password you used to create your Google Analytics account. If you can’t remember your password, click on “can’t access your account” and follow the instructions to reset your password.
- Once you are logged in to your Google Analytics account, click on the Google Analytics logo up the top left. Your Tracking ID (for example, UA-123456-12) should be visible on the first page you see in the light grey text (as per the screenshot below).
- Go to your Dashboard -> Get Found Online (SEO) and enter the Tracking ID into the field on the right. Or click Setup Website Statistics on your Dashboard home.
- Once Google Analytics is tracking your visitor activity, there are two ways to view your website visitor statistics:
- If you would like a basic summary of visitor statistics to be visible in your Rocketspark dashboard, you can link your Google Analytics account with your Rocketspark dashboard. This can be done from the Dashboard home once you have entered your Google Analytics tracking ID. Make sure to connect to the same account that your Google Analytics property has been set up on.
- If you would like more in-depth insights about visitor activity, you can log in to your Google Analytics account for more thorough information about your visitors and how they’ve interacted with your website.
- If you would like a basic summary of visitor statistics to be visible in your Rocketspark dashboard, you can link your Google Analytics account with your Rocketspark dashboard. This can be done from the Dashboard home once you have entered your Google Analytics tracking ID. Make sure to connect to the same account that your Google Analytics property has been set up on.
